There  Is  No  Room  In  Your  Future  For  Your  Past

Situations from our past have shaped us into what we are now.  If our hope is in Christ, then we cannot be hurt or offended easily.  People allow their past to keep them from walking into their future.  I like to say it this way – “I am not going to stay in prison to have a lot of company.” 

The Apostle Peter said it this way in I Peter 2:9 – “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”  The Greek word for chosen means “we are God’s own possession” and “he has acquired us.”  God chose us so how can we lose?  God cannot take us to where we are going until we are willing to leave our past behind.   

Philippians 3:13 – “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” 

People are hurting because they do not really come to the knowledge of who they are in Christ.  Ephesians 1:3-4 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.  According as he hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”  Christ chose us out of Himself, before the foundation of the world.  I don’t know what that does to you, but it excites me, to know that before I was here on earth, I was in Him (Christ).  God had a plan for us before the world was created.   

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” 

Please get it down in your spirit that God has a plan for your life.  What seems to be opposition is a stepping stone to our future.  We need to be expecting for tomorrow to be better than today.   

The flesh retaliates against going into places we have not gone before.  God can only move with our expectations.  Heaven is not our purpose and plan.  Heaven is an automatic thing.  If we are born again and children of God, what Christ did on the cross is far greater than what Lucifer did in the Garden of Eden.  What God wants to do in you is far greater than what we think that God wants to do in us.  Sin is not greater than the Christ in us.  Death has been swallowed up in life. 

 John 10:10 – “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”   

We are only limited by our own expectations.  As long as we are moved by this world, we cannot see clearly into the unseen world.  The unseen world is where we were created to live.   

I would like for you to travel through time and see yourself in the Word the way that God sees you.  Ephesians 2:6 – “And hath raised us up together and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”  Please come on a journey through the Word with me, and walk out of your past into your future, because there is no room in your future for your past.
