The 6000 Year Lease
of Human History

By Pastor Pete Norris

Isaiah 41:21-22 -- “Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.”

The end time is not hidden from us. God wants us to know about the end time. This scripture is saying if the idols are so great, they should take the now and tell what is going to happen in the future. Our future is in our now and our now is in our future. God is the beginning and the end. We see what will happen in the future by seeing what is happening now because God does things in patterns.

Isaiah 46:9-10 – “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”

“Declare” in the original Hebrew text means “to announce by the word of your mouth to one present.” God will take the end and magnify the beginning. Everything we need for our end was there in the beginning.

Psalm 104:30-31 – “Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth. The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.”

The earth and all the people were destroyed by the first flood that took place during the pre-Adamic race between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.

II Peter 3:1-8 – “This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance. That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior; Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water. Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished; But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

This is talking about the flood in the beginning. The people were destroyed in the beginning because they were mockers and scoffers. Water is symbolic of people if it does not name a specific ocean or body of water.

God divided the 6000 year lease into three segments. Remember II Peter 3:8 states that a thousand years is as a day to the Lord and a day is as a thousand years with Him. From Adam to Abraham was 2000 years (2 days). From Abraham to Jesus was 2000 years (2 days). From Jesus until now is 2000 years (2 days). These three segments of time equal 6000 years or 6 days.

Genesis 1:26 & 31 -- “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

Man was created on the sixth day, which is symbolic of the 6000 year lease of human history. The book of Genesis reveals everything from the beginning to the end.

Revelation 20:1-3 – “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

After tribulation, Satan will be bound for 1000 years. The church will reign during this time. After the kingdom is set up, the devil will come back and try to destroy it.

Isaiah 46:9-10 – “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”

From Adam to Abraham was 2000 years and the covenant was established upon Isaac. The covenant established with Jesus was set upon the same principles as the first one.

Psalm 24:1 – “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

This is speaking about the time when the 6000 year lease is up. The earth is ours now but the world is made up of the worldly system. We do not have control over the worldly system. The revelation of the end time is prophetic today because we are in the generation of this time.

Daniel 12:9 – “And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”

We are in that appointed time now. The church is about to step across the threshold into the glory and a time of rest. The battle is almost over.

When Satan is bound for 1000 years, we will enter into rest. The 7000th year is symbolic of God resting on the seventh day.

Hebrews 4:3-5 – “For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.”

The end was in the beginning. The work was already done before the foundation of the world. Verse 5 is talking about stepping over into the seventh day of the 7000th year reign. We are in the end time and about to step over into a divine place.

Genesis 1:7 – “And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.”

The rapture of the church is found in this second day account in Genesis. In the natural realm, streams, brooks, pools, etc. are polluted. Through the evaporation process, the water evaporates up to heaven and all the pollution is left down here. This is symbolic of the rapture of the church. The water is symbolic of people and this process is symbolic of the calling away of the church.

Genesis 1:14 – “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.”

Physically, this is speaking about the sun in the day and the moon in the night. In the spiritual, the greater light is Jesus. On the fourth day, the greater light was created. Jesus showed up on the fourth day (the 4000th year of human history). The end is again shown in the beginning.

Malachi 4:2 -- “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”

Sun in the Greek is “brilliance” and is symbolic of the Messiah.

Psalm 19:1-3 – “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun.”

Sun in verse 4 means “glory and brilliance”. We are the tabernacle for Jesus to shine through. He has set His glory down in us.

The good Samaritan is also symbolic of Jesus. When the Samaritan took the man to the inn, he gave the man enough money to last him two days. This is symbolic of Jesus being gone for 2 days (2000 years).

The end is truly in the beginning. God does not want anything hidden from us. Revelation is ours if we want it.
